J’espère que vous allez bien. Je vous retrouve aujourd’hui pour la chronique du tome 4 d’une série que j’aime beaucoup . Vous pouvez reteouver les chroniques des tomes précédents ici pour le tome 1, ici pour le tome 2, et là pour le tome 3. Il s’agit donc de Reckless Conduct de la série Cabrini Law de Parker St John. Résumé :

FR- Alors alors… alors j’aime énormément cette série. j’avais hâte au tome de Miguel et je n’ai pas du tout été déçue. C’est un personnage que j’apprécie énormément depuis le premier tome , même si c’est surtout dans le deuxième qu’on le voit un peu plus. Il est vraiment attachant, il a un passé assez difficile mais a réussit à s’en sortir et est devenu un homme vraiment bien, sans oublier ses erreurs passées.
Face à lui, le personnage de Ray est tout aussi bon. C’est un personnage assez complexe bourré de complexe et de contradictions que j’ai adoré découvrir et voir s’ouvrir doucement mais sûrement. La relation entre les deux hommes est prenante et j’ai beaucoup aimé la dynamique entre les deux.
Cette fois ci, on est un peu moins dans le cabinet juridique que dans les tomes précédents mais tous les autres personnages font une apparition à un moment ou un autre et j’ai super super hâte d’avoir l’histoire d’Alex Cabrini.
J’ai adoré l’enquête policière, j’ai énormément aimé ce que l’auteure nous propose à ce sujet. Une fois de plus c’était extrêmement bien traité, cohérent, sans en faire trop mais très bien amené. Je me suis laissée prendre au jeu et n’ai pas du tout vu venir la résolution de l’enquête.
Là aussi, l’auteure introduit des personnages secondaires (dont un qui sera le personnage principal d’un stand alone, qui sera sa prochaine sortie) tout en intégrant Ray aux deux familles de Miguel, que ce soit sa famille de sang ou sa famille de coeur.
En résumé, une série toujours aussi bonne d’un tome à l’autre. Une auteure qui nous propose un univers maîtrisé et complet. Une série à découvrir sans plus tarder.
ENG- So well well well… well I really like this series. I was looking forward to Miguel’s tome and I was not at all disappointed. He is a character that I greatly appreciate since the first volume, even if it is in the second that we see him a little more. He is really endearing, he has a fairly difficult past but managed to get by and became a really good man, without forgetting his past mistakes.
Ray’s character is just as good. He is a fairly complex character full of complex and contradictions that I loved to discover, I like to see the way he will slowly but surely open up. The relationship between the two men is fascinating and I really liked the dynamic between the two.
This time, we are a little less in the law clinic than in the previous volumes but all the other characters make an appearance at one time or another and I am super super excited to have Alex Cabrini’s story.
I loved the police investigation, I enormously liked what the author offers us on this subject. Once again it was extremely well treated, consistent, without doing too much but very well brought. I got caught up in the game and didn’t see the resolution of the investigation coming at all.
There too, the author introduces secondary characters (including one who will be the main character of a stand alone, which will be her next release) while integrating Ray into Miguel’s two families, whether his blood family or his family of heart.
In summary, a series always as good from one volume to another. An author who offers us a mastered and complete universe. A series to discover without further delay.
