J’espère que vous allez bien. Pour ma part ça va super bien . Je vous retrouve aujourd’hui pour la chronique d’un roman que j’ai adoré. Il s’agit du tome 1 de la série Outlawed de Sally Malcolm, d’ailleurs vous trouverez mon avis sur la nouvelle 0.5 ici (je vous conseille de lire cette nouvelle avant de lire ce tome 1. Résumé :

FR- Alors alors… alors j’aime beaucoup la plume de Sally Malcolm, que ce soit en romance historique où je l’ai découverte ou en premier, qu’en romance contemporaine. Quand j’ai eu l’occasion de lire cette nouvelle série de l’auteure, je n’ai pas hésité.
Je dois vous avouer que j’ai enchainé la nouvelle introductive (qui fait une trentaine de pages) et le premier tome. Et j’ai adoré. J’ai trouvé vraiment originale la période choisie par l’auteure qui est une période que je connais très peu et que j’ai très peu lue au final. J’ai apprit pas mal de choses et j’ai beaucoup apprécié.

Si la nouvelle se passe aux Etats Unis, le premier tome lui se passe en Angleterre et j’étais un peu plus en terrain connu. J’ai adoré adoré adoré. Les personnages sont super attachants et j’ai adoré les voir doucement se rapprocher. J’ai adoré Sam. C’est un personnage très fort qui a vécu beaucoup d’épreuve qui l’ont fait grandir et j’ai vraiment aimé ce que l’auteure nous propose pour lui. J’ai trouvé qu’il était fidèle à lui même et à ses convictions jusqu’au bout du roman.
Le personnage de Nate est plus idéaliste et lui aussi va énormément changer au cours du roman mais pas pour les mêmes raisons que Sam. J’ai adoré le voir « grandir » et murir.
Leur relation est tout simplement adorable. Leur amour est super fort et on sent bien qu’ils sont toujours amoureux l’un de l’autre et qu’ils ont juste besoin de tirer un trait sur les erreurs passées.

Le rythme du roman est entrainant, la plume de l’auteure est tout simplement géniale et on ne voit pas le temps passer tellement on est prit dans l’histoire.

En résumé encore un excellent roman de Sally Malcolm. Une série très bien menée et intéressante. A lire sans plus tarder.

ENG- So well well well… well I really like the pen of Sally Malcolm, whether in historical romance where I discovered it or first, in contemporary romance. When I had the opportunity to read this new series from the author, I didn’t hesitate.
I must admit that I have read back to back the introductory short story (which is about thirty pages long) and the first volume. And I loved it. I found the period chosen by the author really original, which is a period that I know very little about and that I read very little in the end. I learned a lot of things and I really enjoyed it.

If the news takes place in the United States, the first volume takes place in England and I was a little more on familiar ground. Loved loved loved. The characters are super endearing and I loved seeing them slowly come closer. I loved Sam. She’s a very strong character who has gone through a lot of hardship that made him grow up and I really liked what the author offers us for him. I found that he was true to himself and to his convictions until the end of the novel.
Nate’s character is more idealistic and he too will change a lot over the course of the novel but not for the same reasons Sam did. I loved watching him « grow » and mature.
Their relationship is just lovely. Their love is super strong and you can tell that they are still in love with each other and that they just need to let go of past mistakes.

The rhythm of the novel is catchy, the author’s pen is simply brilliant and we don’t see the time passing because we are so caught up in the story.

In short, another excellent novel by Sally Malcolm. A very well conducted and interesting series. To read without further delay.
