J’espère que vous allez bien. Je vous retrouve aujourd’hui avec la chronique de la première romance de noël que j’ai lue cette année. Et j’ai adoré! Je ne vous en dit pas plus , juste que ce tome 2 se lit sans problème, même si on a pas lu le tome 1 (ce qui était mon cas) Résumé :
The last thing Jeff wants is to spend time with the man who totaled his car—the one he spent years restoring with his late father. But if he wants to resurrect his childhood town’s annual outdoor hockey tournament, he’s got no choice.
The last thing Mika wants is to work with the guy who took off right after the accident, without ensuring he was okay. And working together on organizing Jeff’s proposed tournament sounds like a complete nightmare. He’s got enough on his plate after surviving cancer.
Sparks fly as they’re forced to work together, but is that enough for them to set their differences aside and pull off the tournament in only two weeks? Or will they prove to be immune to the magic of Christmas?
FR- Alors alors… alors j’aime beaucoup les romances de noël et si je ne regarde plus de téléfilm c’est principalement parce que le pairing ne m’intéresse plus. Mais j’aime toujours autant tout ce qui est lié à ce genre de romance. L’ambiance de noël, la magie… et ici c’est que j’ai le plus apprécié.
J’aime beaucoup la plume d’Amy Aislin. Je suis toujours sûre de passer un bon moment avec ses lectures . J’avais super hâte de lire cette romance de noël vu que je savais que j’allais adorer. Mais je ne pensais pas autant aimer.
C’est officiel, Gingerbread Mistletoe devient ma nouvelle romance de noël préférée. J’ai adoré adoré adoré.
Les personnages principaux sont super attachants. J’ai versé ma petite larme plus d’une fois tellement ils m’ont touchée. Que ce soit Jeff qui est très touchant dans sa relation avec son père, mais aussi son frère ou ses enfants. Ou encore Mika que j’ai adoré suivre au fil des pages.
La relation de Mika avec ses parents et avec ses amis est vraiment touchante et ne parlons même pas de la relation entre Mika et Jeff.
Ce roman fait la part belle, aux sentiments, que ce soit les sentiments amicaux, familiaux ou amoureux. Il y a beaucoup d’humour, des moments très forts, et surtout beaucoup de magie. Et c’est à mon sens, un indispensable dans les romances de noël.
En résumé, une romance de noël comme on les aimes, je dirai même un cran au dessus. Un roman à lire de toute urgence avec un bon chocolat chaud, sous un plaid, devant le sapin.
ENG- So well well well…well I really like Christmas romances and if I don’t watch TV movies anymore it’s mainly because pairing doesn’t interest me anymore. But I still love everything that has to do with that kind of romance just as much. The Christmas atmosphere, the magic … and here is what I enjoyed the most.
I really like Amy Aislin’s pen. I am always sure to have a good time with her readings. I couldn’t wait to read this Christmas romance as I knew I was going to love it. But I didn’t think I liked it so much.
It’s official, Gingerbread Mistletoe is becoming my new favorite Christmas romance. Loved it, loved it, loved it.
The main characters are super endearing. I shed some tears more than once they touched me so much. Whether it is Jeff who is very touching in his relationship with his father, but also his brother or his children. Or Mika, whom I loved to follow through the pages.
Mika’s relationship with his parents and with his friends is truly touching and let’s not even talk about the relationship between Mika and Jeff.
This novel gives pride of place to feelings, whether they are friendly, family or romantic feelings. There is a lot of humor, very strong moments, and above all a lot of magic. And it is in my opinion, an essential in Christmas romances.
In short, a Christmas romance as we like them, I would even say the best one . A novel to read urgently with a good hot chocolate, under a blanket, in front of the christmas tree.
