j’espère que vous allez bien!Pour ma part ça va, un peu difficile au boulot en ce moment mais rien d’insurmontable. Du coup c’est légèrement compliqué de trouver du temps pour lire mais je ne pouvais pas passer à coté de ce deuxième tome de la série Winsford Shifters d’Alice Winters en auto édition. Vous pouvez d’ailleurs retrouver ma chronique du tome 1 ici. Résumé :

FR- Alors alors… alors qu’est ce que je suis contente de cette série! Je suis contente de retrouver la Alice Winters des débuts, celle qui me fait rire à en avoir mal au ventre, celle qui me fait pleurer, m’énerver, m’interroger.

Ce que je trouve particulièrement intéressant dans cette série c’est que l’auteure réussit à sortir des clichés dans lesquels elle s’était un peu enlisée ces derniers temps dans ses romans. Elle casse en grande partie ses codes et si sa plume est toujours aussi prenante, Alice Winters nous propose ici quelque chose de différent et ça marche. Ça marche même très bien.

Alice Winters est une auteure que j’aime énormément et avec cette série, elle confirme tout ce que j’aime chez elle.

Les personnages sont hauts en couleur, on ne s’ennuie pas une seule seconde. J’ai aimé que contrairement à ses autres romans, l’élément fun (le personnage rigolo) n’est pas porté que par un personnage mais par plusieurs. La meute est au cœur de l’histoire et je pense que c’est le roman de l’auteure où les personnages secondaires sont aussi importants et apportent énormément à l’histoire.

J’ai adoré retrouver Quinn et Rowan qui restent les narrateurs et donc les personnages principaux de la série. Leur relation est vraiment mignonne et il n’y a quasiment pas de scène de sexe dans tous le roman ce qui n’empêche pas l’auteure de nous faire ressentir l’attachement profond entre les deux hommes. Quinn est vraiment fondamentalement gentil, peut être un peu trop parfois ce qui le rend carrément aveugle à un élément de l’histoire qu’on voit venir de loin, même si l’auteure réussit à nous tromper en partie.

Rowan est de plus en plus affirmé dans son rôle de compagnon de l’alpha et surtout de métamorphe.

J’ai aussi beaucoup aimé le personnage d’Emery et la relation naissante entre ce dernier et Graham.

L’intrigue est très prenante et bien amenée, on est complètement immergé dans l’histoire et on dévore les pages sans s’arrêter. Ce deuxième tome nous apporte quelques répondes mais pose encore énormément de question qui devraient trouver leurs réponses dans le troisième et dernier tome qui devrai sortir en juillet. J’ai vraiment passé un excellent moment de lecture et je n’ai qu’une hâte, lire la suite!

ENG- So well well well… well Iam so happy with this series! I am happy to find the Alice Winters of the beginnings, the one who makes me laugh until I have a stomach ache, the one who makes me cry, get angry, question myself.

What I find particularly interesting in this series is that the author manages to get out of the clichés in which she had become a little bogged down lately in her novels. She largely breaks her codes and if her writing is still as engaging, Alice Winters offers us something different here and it works. It even works very well.

Alice Winters is an author that I love very much and with this series she confirms everything I love about her.

The characters are colorful, you won’t get bored for a single second. I liked that unlike her other novels, the fun element (the funny character) is not worn only by one character but by several. The pack is at the heart of the story and I think it’s the author’s novel where the supporting characters are also important and add a lot to the story.

I loved Quinn and Rowan who remain the narrators and therefore the main characters of the series. Their relationship is really cute and there is hardly any sex scene in the whole novel, which does not prevent the author from making us feel the deep attachment between the two men. Quinn is really basically nice, maybe a little too much at times which makes him downright blind to an element of the story that we see coming from afar, even if the author manages to mislead us .

Rowan is more and more assertive in his role of companion of the alpha and especially of shapeshifter.

I also really liked the character of Emery and the budding relationship between him and Graham.

The plot is very gripping and well put together, you are completely immersed in the story and devour the pages without stopping. This second volume brings us some answers but still poses a lot of questions which should find their answers in the third and last volume which should be released in July. I really had a great time reading and can’t wait to read more!
